Hero from ColdMix

COLD MIX ASPHALT PLANTS

Triaso® cold mix plants are specifically engineered to produce aggregate mixtures without applying heat. Using a robust pugmill mixer, these plants blend unheated aggregates with asphalt emulsion or other liquid binders to deliver a uniform mix.

Their capability to handle different aggregate types makes them well-suited for patching, road maintenance, and small-scale paving applications.

Cold Mixing = Eco-Friendly Mix

Designed for efficiency and flexibility, quick setup, and minimal maintenance, cold mix plants provide a reliable solution for contractors, municipalities, and remote projects — delivering consistent aggregate mix production whenever required, with the ease of not needing to heat the aggregates.

On-Demand Asphalt Production

Cold mix plants offer the flexibility to produce aggregate mix on-site as needed, reducing dependence on external suppliers. This minimizes delays and allows the mix to be prepared and applied immediately — an advantage for remote locations and emergency repair projects.

Low Operating Costs

Without burners or thermal oil systems, cold mix plants significantly reduced fuel consumption and maintenance expenses. Their simple mechanical design minimizes downtime and supports long-term operational efficiency for both municipalities and contractors.

Integrated Control Over Aggregate Flow

Real-time aggregate flow monitoring—whether performed remotely or on-site—gives operators full control over material handling and production data through the central control system, allowing quick adjustments and ensuring consistent cold-mix results.

At the same time, it provides supervisors and equipment owners with complete visibility of aggregate flow and overall operational performance.

These features make our dosing systems an essential component for industries requiring precise and efficient material handling.

Discover the Magic Behind our Pugmill

The pugmill is a crucial component in cold mix plants, designed to effectively blend a variety of materials, including aggregates and asphalt emulsion into a uniform mix. Its heavy-duty construction ensures smooth operation and reliable performance over time.

The pugmill’s mixing process allows precise homogenization of the aggregates, making it ideal for a wide range of applications that require high-quality cold mix. With simple maintenance and an easy-to-operate design, our pugmill delivers a long and cost-effective service life, even in demanding work environments. This is not just a promise—we back it with a two-year warranty, the highest in the market.

Mixing paddles

The mixing paddles

The mixing paddles inside the pugmill are essential for achieving a uniform, high-quality asphalt mix. Strategically arranged along twin synchronized shafts driven by a gear system, they ensure thorough blending of all components, preventing material build-up and providing even distribution of asphalt emulsion.

Made from wear-resistant materials such as Hardox steel or cast iron, the paddles are fully interchangeable and designed to endure heavy use and abrasive aggregates without loss of efficiency. During operation, a protective internal layer forms naturally, reducing direct wear on structural surfaces and significantly extending the equipment’s service life.

Easy to maintain and built for durability, the pugmill delivers reliable mixing performance even under the most demanding conditions.
